National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Shillong under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India has released the Admission Notice 2026 for various NSQF Aligned Courses (NIELIT Scheme).

\Selected categories of students are eligible for 100% Tuition FREE benefits as per scheme guidelines.

Admissions are open for Long Term (1 & 1½ Year) and Short Term (2–4 Months) courses at Shillong and Tura Extension Centres.

3. CHM ‘O’ Level (Computer Hardware & Maintenance)

• Duration: 1 Year
• Eligibility: 10+2 pass or ITI (1 year after 10th), Diploma, Graduation or Post-Graduation

1. Course on Computer Concept (CCC)

• Eligibility: No Pre-requisites

2. Certified Computer Application Accounting and Publishing Assistant (CCAAPA)

• Eligibility: 10th Pass or 8th Pass and pursuing continuous regular schooling

3. Assistant Computer Technician

• Eligibility: 10th Pass / 8th Pass with 2 years NTC OR 8th Pass with 3 years relevant experience

4. Cyber Security Assistant

• Eligibility: 10th Pass or 8th Pass with continuous schooling OR 8th Pass with 2 years experience in IT-ITeS Sector

5. Foundation Course in Artificial Intelligence Applications

• Eligibility: Pass-Out / Final Year student of CS/IT stream of 3-Year Polytechnic Diploma
