NEIGRIHMS Shillong Recruitment 2025 – Apply for 2 Project Technical Support Posts

The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences, NEIGRIHMS Shillong invites eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the following contractual positions under the ICMR Extramural Project titled “Accelerating Efforts to End TB in India.”

The engagement will be purely temporary for 3 months or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. Selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under NEIGRIHMS or the Government of India.

Duration of Engagement

• Initially for 3 months or until completion of the ICMR project, whichever is earlier.

Field Posting and Work Requirements

• Extensive field travel and residence within East and West Jaintia Hills districts of Meghalaya.
• Candidates must arrange their own accommodation at Khliehriat, Jowai, or nearby areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct data collection from 200+ rural villages and 30 urban census wards.
• Perform face-to-face interviews and collect sputum samples for TB testing.
• Operate portable X-ray machines for field chest imaging.
• Handle data entry, field supervision, and equipment maintenance.

Desirable Skills

• Fluency in English and Khasi.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with field research, data handling, and laboratory procedures.

• Candidates must bring original documents and a set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates, along with a recent passport-size photograph.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• The engagement is purely temporary and project-based under ICMR funding.
