Eligibility Criteria
For Lecturer (Post No. 1)
- Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. in relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent.
For Assistant Professor (Post No. 2 & 3)
- Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
Scale of Pay (State Pay Scale): Level 15
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 32 years as on 1 October 2025.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- No upper age limit for candidates already serving under Meghalaya Government within the prescribed age limit.

Selection Process
The MERB will conduct the recruitment through one or more of the following methods:
- Written Examination (MCQ format) followed by Personal Interview, OR
- Shortlisting of candidates followed by Personal Interview based on MERB norms.
Only candidates producing original certificates (qualification, date of birth, caste, etc.) will be allowed to appear for the interview.
Debarment Rules
- Candidates providing false information or impersonating others will be permanently debarred from any MERB recruitment.
- Use of unfair means during examination will result in cancellation of candidature and possible legal action.
