About UPSC CAPF (ACs) Exam 2026
The Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination is conducted annually by UPSC for recruitment to Group A officer posts in various paramilitary forces of India. Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Commandants in different CAPFs under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2026
Nationality
The candidate must be a citizen of India. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan may also apply as per Government of India rules.
Sex
Both Male and Female candidates are eligible.
Age Limit (as on 1st August 2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Candidates must be born between 2nd August 2001 and 1st August 2006.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Civilian Central Government Servant: 5 years
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university incorporated by an Act of Central/State Legislature or an equivalent qualification.
Physical Standards
Applicants must meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards as specified in the official notification.
